According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the only factor leading to mold that can be controlled is moisture intrusion. Leading causes for water intrusion are plumbing, doors, windows, and your roof.

In fact, one of the leading causes of black mold is an unrepaired roof leak.

A roof leak can take weeks if not months to actually penetrate your ceiling and walls. Mold and moisture can build up in your home's interior without you even knowing. We recommmend having a roof inspection peformed twice a year depending on the age of your roof and after a major storm. If your seeing crackling, bubbling ceiling or stains you should contact us immediately so we can determine the extent of the roof leak, its origin, and the damage thats occurred.

By having Roof Rx® perform a professional roof leak repair after our 19-point roof inspection, you will be eliminating mold and future health and environmental concerns. We can also put you on a yearly maintenance program to ensure your roof stays watertight. Call for a free estimate! (800) 676-8888.

The U.S. is currently experiencing a fundamental change towards the view of the environment. According to the National Association of Roofing Contractors (NCRA), premature roof replacement occurs on average every 12 to 15 years. This represents only 50% of the expected life cycle of even the most basic roofing material.

As a result, significant portions of our landfills are comprised of discarded roofing material. Until only recently have contractors and municipalities begun to recycle discarded materials such as asphalt shingles. These shingles can be reused to mend our roadways and manufacture new shingles.

Roof Rx® is a proud supporter of these efforts and we specialize in roof conservation efforts. We guide our clients through a streamlined process to determine how to preserve their roof and help to recycle any roof related waste.
